5 days Uganda wildlife safari & chimpanzee tracking tour is an exceptional game viewing and primate tour experiences you shouldn’t miss out. It includes game viewing experience in the 2 of Uganda’s leading wildlife safari parks; Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. This offers you a chance to enjoy excellent view of four of the big five game in each of the 2 savanna parks.
The 5 days Uganda wildlife safari & chimpanzee tracking tour also covers chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park. This park is largely a rain-forest and famously called the primate capital of the world, priding itself for over 13 species of primates. Your wildlife safari and chimpanzee tracking tour will begin and end in Kampala/Entebbe.
Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda -boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
After a hefty breakfast, meet your driver guide for briefing very early. Later, take the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara-Bushenyi route to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda about 5-6 hours’ drive. This route is interesting as you have a chance to make a stopover at Equator crossing in Kayabwe. After, drive through Mbarara town to Ishaka-Bushenyi to access Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Lunch be served to you at the lodge and you have some relaxation, then you join others on an afternoon boat/launch cruise on Kazinga channel. This is an extensive channel of about 43m and links Lake Edward and Lake George. Along the way, there are hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds plus other species to keep an eye on while on 2-3 hours of your boat cruise.

Day 2: Game drive & transfer to Kibale for chimpanzee tour
Breakfast early morning and after, go enjoy 2-3 hours of a game drive along Kasenyi sector. This comes with interesting sights of four of the big game; elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes; Uganda Kobs, birds. Return to have lunch and later, check out of your lodge in Queen. Drive for 3 hours to Kibale the primate capital of the world.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking & Murchison Falls National Park
Have a relaxed breakfast and later, be at Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing. Learn what things to do and not to do during the 2-4 hours of chimpanzee trek. At 8:00am the assigned park guide leads you through a trail to track chimpanzees. Once you come across a chimpanzee community, you will be allowed to spend only 1 hour with them, take photos. Other primates and birds will also be spotted along the way.
Check out and have some pack of lunch. Next, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Fort Portal-Hoima about 7 hours’ drive. Arrive early and check in your lodge for evening relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

Day 4: Game drive & launch cruise plus a hike to the top of the falls
Breakfast early morning and later, 2-3 hours on a game drive along the Northern section of Murchison Falls National Park Uganda. In your 4WD Land Cruiser with pop up roof, expect clear view of incredible species such as leopards, lions, elephants, buffaloes, birds, warthogs, endangered Rothschild giraffes, antelopes. Return to enjoy your lunch as you share the morning experiences.
After lunch, a boat cruise will your next recreational activity. This takes you up to the bottom of Murchison Falls on 2-3 hours which come with clear view of Nile crocodiles, submerged hippos, birds and excellent photo taking at bottom of the falls. Once you get to the bottom of the falls, leave the boat and take a walk to the top of the falls.
A trek to the top of the falls is a great opportunity for you to witness how the powerful Murchison Falls. Enjoy the powerful roar as it squeezes itself into a narrow gorge of 7-8 meters before it finally drops off down 43 meters. Return by a boat or by 4WD safari vehicle to have a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Return to Kampala-rhino tracking en-route
After early morning breakfast, leave Murchison Falls National Park for Kampala/Entebbe, 4-5 hours’ drive. En-route, branch to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. This will make your trip a complete big five game safari. Lunch will be had along the way and drop off to Kampala or Entebbe.
